Join the lab! Options for graduate students
Some great reasons to join our team for your graduate studies:
We often have openings for exceptional students to pursue their graduate research under Dr. Deacon's supervision. We have an active, vibrant lab, with a diverse group of students gaining skills across a wide range of domains.
Students supervised by Dr. Deacon have gone on to faculty positions in many disciplines, including School Psychology, Education, Speech and Hearing Sciences, and Linguistics. Other students have pursued successful careers working as clinical psychologists, publishers, research analysts, and speech language therapists. Students in the lab publish their research in top journals in our field.
Graduate students in the lab can pursue the MSc or PhD programs in Experimental Psychology, or the PhD programs in Clinical Psychology, Interdisciplinary Studies, or Health. Students can also complete the thesis track of the MSc in Speech Language Pathology at Dalhousie. All graduate students admitted to the Psychology or Clinical Psychology programs are fully funded, and all graduate students in our lab are offered support towards participation in conferences.
